Why Network Science?
CCPs are indirectly connected to each other via a network of clearing participants, service providers, payment systems and financial assets. Network Science facilitates monitoring and modeling of such complex systems – large systems with many interacting elements and non-linearities.
We quantify the impact of interconnectedness with network analytics and model contagion in a variety of ways, including using agent based modeling. We use both structured and unstructured data. Inputs can be stochastic or deterministic, and behavior assumptions can be static, pre-programmed, evolving or co-learning.
